This two-stage scroll compressor lineup, ideally suited for residential and light commercial HVAC applications, offers ultimate comfort while assisting OEMs with meeting new 2023 Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Usage of the two-stage compressors in heat pump applications assists with building decarbonization goals for heating and cooling while also consuming less energy. With more than 200 million scroll compressor installations and a history of rigorous product testing and extensive research, Copeland compressors offer a reliable solution to enhance system efficiency.
The Copeland ZPSK7 scroll compressor provides superior comfort with a revolutionary two-stage capacity design. At part-load capacity, systems with Copeland ZPSK7 two-stage compressor can run at lower capacity without stopping, ensuring air continues flowing over the coil and the filter. This yields important benefits in humidity reduction and air quality. In addition, this two-stage modulating compressor also gives systems the ability to adjust capacity to match the load, resulting in longer run times at higher efficiency to maximize comfort.
Built on the award-winning ZPSK6 platform, Copeland's ZPSK7 scroll compressor is the most efficient two-stage compressor developed in Copeland history. The Copeland two-stage platform stands apart from other compressors in their its simplicity of design. And since they are self-contained (all components are internal), there's less to be damaged in shipping or during system installation. The ease of this packaged solution carries over to the aftermarket when replacing or servicing the compressors as they follow "drop in" replacement of their predecessor's platform.
