Our history
Copeland is a company with over a century of innovation, starting when Edmund Copeland founded the company in 1921 to revolutionize refrigeration. Today, we are a re-energized standalone company with a proud history of leadership in compression and controls technologies within the markets we serve. We like to call ourselves a 100-year-old start-up, combining the energy and focus of a new company with a long legacy of innovation.
